
February 2004: building a new agency ...
The founding officers of PC Power held the first board meeting and elected officers and a board of directors. The officers and members of the board of directors are listed below:

A high volume of telephone calls from donors were received following the January computer drop-off. Volunteers continued to pick up donations.
Met with Michael Patton, the Director of the Metropolitan Environmental Trust, regarding issues surrounding the recycling of electronics.
Computers delivered:
A twelve-year old child experiencing serious academic difficulty. His parents had withdrawn him from public school and were home schooling him, with the assistance of a home schooling support service. The support service recommended a computer to help the child with his schoolwork, but the family was unable to afford one.
A young woman who had overcome extraordinary adversity and entered veterinary school, and was unable to afford a computer to use in her studies. She was referred by Deb McCaskey of KJRH (Channel Two) News.
A young developmentally-delayed woman, who read at an elementary-school level. Her mother had located a program that would help develop her reading ability so that she might seek a job. Referred by Deb McCaskey of KJRH (Channel Two) News.
